With effect from 1 January 2024, Florian Schütz, the former Federal Cybersecurity Delegate and Head of the NCSC, is the Director of the new federal office, which retains the name National Cyber Security Centre in English. Florian Schütz reports directly to the Head of the DDPS. He is the contact for politicians, the media and the population with regard to cyber-related issues. Florian Schütz is responsible for the coordinated implementation of the national cyberstrategy (NCS).

On 30 June 2019, he was appointed as Federal Cybersecurity Delegate by the Federal Council. In this function, he was in charge of establishing the National Cyber Security Centre, and headed it from 1 July 2020 until the end of 2023. He has a Master's degree in Computer Science and a Master of Advanced Studies in Security Policy and Crisis Management from the ETH Zurich, and has over ten years' private sector management experience in the area of IT security.

Moreover, since 1 January 2022, Florian Schütz has also chaired the OECD's Working Party on Digital Security (WPDS). This means that Switzerland can make a significant contribution to enhancing global digital security. Involvement in international efforts is an important pillar in the implementation of the NCS.

Morton Swimmer is a Principal Threat Researcher for Trend Micro Research where his job is to anticipate the future of computer and internet threats and find ways of mitigating them. Previously, he served as a professor of forensics at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and as a research scientist at IBM Research, focusing on malware, intrusion detection, and forensics.

At Trend Micro, Morton's primary focus is on AI and ML technologies, particularly the application of neuro-symbolic reasoning to computer security problems. He also explores the potential security implications of emerging technologies outside the traditional domain of computer security. One of his key research areas, initiated in 2017, is the impact of quantum computing on cryptography. While the threat of quantum computers breaking current cryptographic methods is still distant, the advancements in quantum mechanics present other intriguing and more immediate security considerations.

For a brief period while receiving his University education, Murat Seitnepesov engaged in scientific studies as a Research Fellow in the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Siberian Branch of the Academy of Sciences of Russia. Upon completing his University degree, Murat pursued a career in banking as the Leading Specialist in the Central Bank of Turkmenistan and then Head of International Operations Division in the State Agricultural Bank of Turkmenistan.
