Hossein Rahnama

Hossein Rahnama is a professor of data science and an entrepreneur. As a visiting professor at the MIT Media Lab and professor at Ryerson University, where he co-founded Ryerson DMZ, his research explores artificial intelligence, data governance, and the transparent design of data-driven services. He is also the founder and CEO of Flybits Inc., a data intelligence company that is serving a global customer base. Rahnama has written more than 30 publications and patents in computer science. He is currently a Fellow at the MIT Connection Science Group and one of the global directors of the MIT City Science Network. He served as a council member at NSERC (National Science and Research Engineering Council of Canada) and is currently serving on the board of Canadian Science Publishing and the Home Capital Group. In 2012, MIT Technology Review selected him as one of its global TR35 list - The list of top 35 Innovators under the age of 35. In 2017, he was selected as part of Canada's 40 under 40. Dr. Rahnama holds a Ph.D. and M.A.Sc. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Ryerson University as well as a B.A.Sc. in Computer Science from Ryerson University.
Carlos Creus Moreira

Carlos Moreira began his career as a UN expert on IT, eSecurity and Trust Models, working for ILO, UN, UNCTAD, ITC/WTO, World Bank, UNDP, ESCAP from 1983 to 1998. A recognized early stage pioneer in the field of digital identity, he was also Adjunct Professor of the Graduate School of Engineering Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology from 1995 to 1999 as well as Head of the Trade Efficiency Lab at the Graduate School of Engineering at RMIT.

Gunter Pauli

Gunter Pauli was born in Antwerp, Belgium, in March 1956. In 1979 he graduated as “Licencié en Sciences Economiques” from Loyola's University (today University of Antwerp) in Belgium and obtained his masters in business administration from INSEAD in 1982 at Fontainebleau, France thanks to a scholarship from the Rotary International Foundation. During the time he was studying, he held the most diverse jobs in order “to sustain family, education and to save money, which permitted extensive traveling during the summer holidays". In 1978 he was elected as national president of the students’ union AIESEC.
He was the founder and Chairman of PPA Holding and of more than 10 other companies, founder and CEO of the European Service Industries Forum (ESIF), Secretary General of the European Business Press Federation (UPEFE), founder and president of the Foundation “Mozarteum Belgicum“, Chairman and President of Ecover, and advisor to the Rector of the United Nations University in Tokyo (Japan).
His entrepreneurial activities span business, culture, science, politics and the environment. Under his leadership, Ecover pioneered an ecological factory in 1992, featured on CNN Prime Time News. He founded the "Zero Emissions Research and Initiatives" (ZERI) at the United Nations University in Tokyo, and subsequently established The Global ZERI Network as a foundation, redesigning production and consumption into clusters of industries inspired by natural systems.
He is dedicated to design and implement a society and industries, which respond to people’s needs using what is locally available. His visionary approach supported by dozens of projects on the ground landed him an invitation to present his cases at the World Expo 2000 in Germany. There he constructed the largest bamboo pavilion in modern days presenting 7 breakthrough initiatives. It became the most popular pavilion with 6.4 million visitors. Unfortunately, the pavilion was destroyed after the Expo. However the original built in Manizales, Colombia still stands as a symbol for the Coffee Region.
His latest initiatives include the design of a solution for the plastic soup floating in the oceans and the creation of a protective zone with islands to avert rising sea levels. He is actively involved to ensure that the largest herd of rhinos (2,400 in Kaziranga National Park in India) will be free of poachers thanks to an intensive economic and community development program in coordination with organic tea plantations.
He has been visiting lecturer and professor at universities in on all continents, and Member of the Board of NGOs and private companies in Asia, USA and Latin America. He has advised governments, entrepreneurs and industry leaders on how to implement breakthrough innovations that permits society to better respond to the basic needs of all, starting with water, food, housing, health and energy. He works with what is locally available, focuses on the generation of value.
He is a Fellow of the World Academy of Arts and Sciences (San Francisco, USA), a creative Member of the Club of Budapest (Hungary), Member of the Club of Rome, moderated the Roundtable of Nobel Science Laureates hosted by HM King of Jordan State and obtained a Doctorate from the Italian Government in systems design. He has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the University of Pécs, Hungary.
Gunter has published 20 books (written 16 - edited 4), which have been printed in +30 languages and 365 fables bringing science and emotions to children. Over 17 million copies have been distributed worldwide. One of his fables “The Strongest Tree” is available in over 100 languages.
Stéphane Duguin
Chief Executive Officer of the CyberPeace Institute
Stéphane Duguin has spent two decades analysing how technology is weaponized against vulnerable communities. In particular, he has investigated multiple instances of the use of disruptive technologies, such as AI, in the context of counter terrorism, cybercrime, cyberoperations, hybrid threats, and the online use of disinformation techniques. He leads the CyberPeace Institute with the aim of holding malicious actors to account for the harms they cause. His mission is to coordinate a collective response to decrease the frequency, impact, and scale of cyberattacks by sophisticated actors.
Prior to this position, Stéphane Duguin was a senior manager and innovation coordinator at Europol. He led key operational projects to counter both cybercrime and online terrorism, such as the European Cybercrime Centre (EC3), the Europol Innovation Lab, and the European Internet Referral Unit (EU IRU). He is a thought leader in digital transformation and convergence of disruptive technologies. With his work published in major media, his expertise is regularly sought in high-level panels where he focuses on the implementation of innovative responses to counter new criminal models and large-scale abuse of cyberspace.

Mayte Spínola (Madrid, 1943) trained artistically in Madrid, Paris and London. In Palma de Mallorca she shared a studio with her friend the painter Joan Miró. After the initial figuration, Mayte Spínola opted for matter informalism, action painting and abstraction.
The painter works by artistic series and among them are: Space, Cosmos, Leaves, Torn, Bullfighting, Grids, Sands, Seagulls, Poppies and Orchids, Dance, Seagulls, Golf, Tennis, Polo, Books, Cantorales, Coins, Hearts, Seascapes, Enconchados and NFTs. He began exhibiting in 1971 and to date has held half a hundred solo exhibitions, among them in Casa de Vacas del Parque de Retiro in Madrid (2014) and more than a hundred group exhibitions inside and outside Spain. He has also made urban art in the series Meninas in Madrid and Limones in various Spanish cities. In April 2020 her exhibition "Mayte Spínola, 50 years in Art" will be inaugurated at Espacio Mira in Pozuelo (Madrid).

Mr. Wang has organized and supervised IPO underwritings for over 40 Chinese companies in both domestic and overseas markets. He is the financial consultant on restructuring, financing, M&A and IPO for many leading companies in China. He had worked in a number of international corporations including Nomura Securities Co., Ltd. in Tokyo, the World Bank in Washington D.C. and the Chase Bank in New York. Mr. Wang also serves as the economic advisor in several ministerial and provincial governments in China as well as independent director for several listed companies.
Mr. Wang received his bachelor’s degree in accounting and master’s degree in finance in China, a Ph.D. in economics from Fordham University in the United States. He is the author of many books and journal articles, also a well-known lecturer as he has given seminars and lectures in many universities including CEIBS and Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business.
Mr. Wang has been named “Top Five Chinese investment Bankers” by Talents magazine in 2003, “The Most Influential Independent Director” by Directors & Boards magazine in 2006 and “The Most Influential Investment Banker” by China Finance Network in 2006. He was selected as a member of Shanghai Stock Exchange Corporate Governance Advisory Committee since 2007. He founded the Chinese Museum of Finance (Group) in 2010 and currently has 6 museums in Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Shenyang and Suzhou. Furthermore, he has received the 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award from The M&A Advisor in New York, the 2013 Social Innovator Award from The Wall Street Journal, 2015 IFFM Financial Literacy Award and many others. He has successfully summited the Mount Everest in May 2013. He was elected as the Chairman of Asia Mergers & Acquisitions Association (AMAA) and Co-chairman of International Federation of Finance Museums (IFFM) in November 2015.

Juan Carlos Sainz-Borgo is Professor and Dean at University for Peace (UPEACE). He is also Associate Professor of International Law at the Universidad Central de Venezuela in Caracas since 1998. Fulbright Visiting Professor at the Washington College of Law at the American University in Washington DC (2008-2009) Professor of Humanitarian International Law at the Universidad Sergio Arboleda (2009-2014), Universidad Javeriana and Universidad El Rosario in Colombia. He is also Professor at the Universidad Alfonso X El Sabio in Madrid since 2009. He was Jurist to the Regional Delegation of Venezuela and the Caribbean of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). He served as member of the Venezuelan Foreign Service between 1991-1999 and Deputy Director of the Diplomatic Academy. Juan Carlos Sainz-Borgo has a Law Degree, Master in International Law and Doctorate (Cum Laude) from the Universidad Central de Venezuela in Caracas and a Master Degree from Oxford University, UK. He has published four books on international law and international relations and a numerous articles in different publications in the field.
