WISeKey presents its unique IoT Technology at the 10th Annual Meeting of the New Champions in Tianjin, China
Geneva, Switzerland, Tianjin – June 28, 2016 — WISeKey International Holding Ltd (SIX: WIHN) (“WISeKey”), a leading, Swiss-based cybersecurity company and one of the 2016 New Champions of the World Economic Forum, presented at the 10th Annual Meeting of the New Champions in Tianjin, China, its IoT Cybersecurity technology and partnership with SAP (https://www.wisekey.com/investors/press-release/wisekey-collaborates-with-sap-to-help-secure-iot-edge) and CyberLink fostering The Fourth Industrial Revolution and its Transformational Impact.
WISeKey was originally nominated as one of the founding members of the Global Growth Company (“GGC”) community back in 2007 and over the last 10 years has remained deeply engaged with the World Economic Forum as its GGC Partner and member of the PACI, Cyber Resilience and Global Agenda Council. The World Economic Forum has provided an excellent platform for WISeKey to exchange insights and practices with its stakeholders around the world, which has greatly accelerated the company’s international deployment.
“The Fourth Industrial Revolution will not happen before we Trust and Secure the Internet of Things,” said Mr. Moreira. This year in Tianjin, WISeKey and its partners presented its trusted technology for integrating the wearable technology with secure authentication and identification, in both physical and virtual environments, by empowering IoT and wearable devices to become secure transactional devices (http://youtu.be/3ncxkQlqViY).
The WISeKey/OISTE.ORG Root of Trust (RoT) serves as a common trust anchor, which is recognized by a device’s operating system (OS) and applications, to ensure the authenticity, confidentiality and integrity of on-line transactions. With the Cryptographic RoT embedded in the device, the IoT product manufacturers can use code-signing certificates and a cloud-based signature-as-a-service to secure interactions among objects and between objects and people.
At the heart of this Fourth Industrial Revolution strategy is the OISTE-WISeKey Cryptographic RoT which has been actively used since 1999 by over 2.6 billion desktops, browsers, mobile devices, SSL certificates and IoT devices. The OISTE WISeKey Cryptographic RoT is ubiquitous and universal, and a pioneer in the identification of objects.
